I attended several Learning Exchanges with a national cohort of school administrators through Project I4, through the College of Education of East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.

I attended several virtual conferences centered on education, racial equity, and leadership.
CESR and CETL Workshops and Trainings I took advantage of the many resources provided by the University to enhance my knowledge and grow my skills in research, leadership, and technology. With this new learning, I was able to produce the 8th Annual Leading Courageously for Racial Equity Conference as a webinar, conduct a research using Qualtrics, and participate in a New Chairs Certificate program aimed at to growing my skills as a department chair.
Literature and other resources By reading several books and listening to a variety of podcasts, I expanded my knowledge and practice surrounding racial equity. I used this information and new learning to craft experiences that will promote active engagement of adult learners.
Utilizing Resources Sought and received guidance from members of the IRB Board to help me craft a viable research study.
I attended Aspiring Tenured Faculty meetings in preparation for my application for tenure and promotion. I was awarded both tenure and promotion to Associate Professor.
